Stop Worrying

Worrying is carrying tomorrow's load with today's strength -- carrying two days at once. It is moving into tomorrow ahead of time. Worrying doesn't empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength.  -- "Clippings from My Notebook," 1982 Have you ever tried to erase tomorrow’s problems by worrying about them today?   I write my problems down in advance.   Organized worry is much more efficient.   I can worry about the items on my list one at a time.   This false narrative has led many to believe the more you worry today, the less you will have to worry about tomorrow.   In actuality, worry begets worry and peace of mind is evasive.   We become weary, anxious believers lacking strength for the task God has purposed for us.   What makes us think we can take care of future problems when we do not know what to do about the issues confronting us today?
