Bee Clean Car Wash 1 on Nacogdoches in San Antonio | Free Vacs | Free Air
I dread getting my car washed. I have difficulty following the direction of the attendant as he gives hand signals in order to align my wheels with the moving track. It seems as though I’m being led to far to the right. Taking my foot off the break and shifting to neutral is nerve racking as well. What if I run into the car in front or the car behind hits my bumper? None of it seems like it should work. In the past, I have been hit by a car from behind but I must admit I put my hands on the steering wheel which threw the car off track. Water has come flooding into my car also but that time I’d forgotten to roll up all the windows. I have issues entering the car wash and while inside. Despite the angst, my car comes out clean.
9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. (Psalm 37:23) God stands ready to give us guidance. He knows the plans He has for us and they are for our good. Why are we afraid to follow His direction? He foreordained the path set before us but we second guess His wisdom. Finally, we make the decision to step onto the path but we keep our hands on the wheel and our foot on the brake. Rather than keeping our eyes on Him, we watch the trouble ahead. Half the mess we find ourselves in is of our own doing. Sitting in a car as water comes rushing toward your windshield, heavy brushes land on your hood and roof then a powerful blower shakes your car to and fro can be unsettling. So it is with life sending you through an onslaught of stressful events shaking your very core. God says to us, let Me lead you. Do not be afraid or disquieted by what is ahead but be strong and take courage. Just as the tracks at the car wash move you along, God never leaves us but carries us to the other side where we will emerge brand new. Cast fear aside the next time you see trouble ahead. Remember, God can use trials and troubles to scrub us clean. He will carry us through.
