Inseparable

1950-2015

In this life we are not inseparable.  Regardless of the intensity and overwhelming love we have for one another, there comes a time when one of us leaves the other.  Eros love can be intoxicating and we think our love will last a lifetime but we are mere mortals.  Our love is temporal and at times conditional.  We yearn for a significant other to share our life with even going as far as sacrificing Godly standards to manipulating that person into a making a commitment they are not ready to make. At times we believe are lives are unfulfilled because we are not melded to another.  Those who do have a marriage partner can make the mistake of holding that person too tightly.  We fail to acknowledge the One who is truly inseparable.

Romans 8:38-39

38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

This is the love we should long for.  This is the love that will make us whole.  This is the love that will never change or fade away.  Yes, love between a man and woman is a mystery and a gift from God but He wants us to cherish a love that will last for eternity.  Delight in His indestructible love. How can we not be awestruck by this kind of love?  What joy it is to know with every fiber of your body and soul that with God, we are inseparable.  Yes we are!
